The Merlot Suite apartment sleeps up to two guests and is on ground level with a separate entrance. The bedroom has a top of the range Sealy superking-size orthopaedic bed, providing excellent back support. A luxurious feel is achieved with the pure silk pillow top to ensure a comfortable and restful sleep. Fine linen, feather duvets, electric blankets and bathrobes compliment this fine bed. The dining room which adjoins the kitchen has a sideboard stocked with glassware and a rimu table and chairs, For al fresco dining, guests can choose to use the private deck off the lounge or by the vines on the deck by the vineyard. The lounge has French doors leading onto a private deck with an outdoor table and chairs and garden views, Sky Sports TV, free wiresless internet access for your lap top, a DVD player and a stereo for your Cd's.
The kitchenette adjoins the dining room and is well equipped with a gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The Saturday Farmers Markets in Matakana are great fun and just brimming with delicious organic produce. It is always so much much more fun to shop for tasty and interesting food when on holiday and this is just the perfect place for it.
During fine weather, take the opportunity to relax and unwind in this heavenly spot and create a tasty treat in the kitchen to enjoy on the deck with a glass of wine made from the vines stretched out before you. Some people just never want to move from here. You can do as little or as much as you want - chill out with a good book, take a walk though the native bush to the beach and have a swim or just enjoy each others company.
Every season is quite beautiful in the vineyard. Here in this photo,taken in summer, the vines take on a pretty 'bridal look' when they are covered by nets to protect the grapes from the birds.
